"it's just becuase we got in a car crash" [part one]

I can remember what I was wearing,
the weather, the color of the car in front of us, the curse word Quinci said on impact, and the feeling of flying.
But I can’t remember what color the light was.
It was raining. I was wearing my purple scrub top with black scrub bottoms (I had my cna class for my first two periods hence the scrubs). Quinci and I both didn’t have a third. Abby (our yearbook advisor) had suggested that we do something useful with our time and go buy us all a treat for our fourth period editor class. We happily agreed.
Quinci Erin is my best friend. We are the crazy girls who will laugh at inappropriate times, come up with the crazy ideas (such as camping in my car), and watch criminal minds at two in the morning. She lets me share her little brothers, since I don’t have any. Her parents love me as if I was one of their children.
As we took the little gray car to the store I almost forgot that it was a stick shift.
We were just talking about life and such as we were nearing the light by Forbes Elementary, going straight, when the little gray car wouldn’t stop. We begin sliding on the wet black top, Quinci stomping on the breaks and clutch.
But it wasn’t enough, I thought, as we slammed into the back of a red suburban.
Stay tuned!!!
